We gave Ellie a surprise party for her golden birthday this year. It consisted of 18 mini pies on the 18th of April, and lots of awesome people to enjoy them with. While I took Ellie around town on a photoshoot, the rest of the family was busy decorating the dining room and preparing the pies. After a text from Mom saying everything was in order, I brought Ellie back home where the food and friends were waiting for her. And then we proceeded to stuff ourselves with delicious homemade goodness, and to talk and laugh and have a grand time. It was quite the success, if I do say so myself. :)
