Nova

This is the new nine foot grand at school. Not only does it sound like heaven and feel like heaven to play, it also looks pretty darn beautiful. I have a habit of naming pianos, especially at school, and this one I christened Nova. It's a play on words because a) it is new and b) it is a nine foot piano and c) it is super. One of the last days before my recital I brought my camera along to my practice session and snapped some photos of it. The light coming in through the stained glass was soft and beautiful, and the black wood reflected things almost as well as a mirror. Now that I've gone and graduated, I probably won't be playing on such nice pianos anymore, but at least I'll have the pictures to remember it by. :)
