In January I spent a few days in Washington DC for the March for Life and the LCMS Life conference that followed. I've been doing some part time work for AAPLOG (so has my sister in law) and we went along to help man the booth at the March for Life expo, as well as to participate in the March and attend the conference. Although a somewhat chilly and definitely long day, the March was a great experience. It was amazing to see just how many people were there for it, and how many different kinds of people: young and old, men and women, different races and backgrounds, religions and denominations, schools and universities. Although it is hard to estimate the actual number of people there, we heard many times that it was one of the largest (if not the very largest) Marches ever. The Life Conference that took place afterwards was also very well done. The sectionals were interesting and informative, and it was nice to have a more laid-back day to rest and recuperate after all the standing and walking of the day before.
