May was quite the month for us: it started with Mamaw getting pneumonia and being in the hospital, followed by Nick's graduation ceremony and a short visit from Oscar, finally being able to eat real food and cook again, which in turn allowed me to catch up on cooking club recipes and start baking lots of delicious treats like blueberry muffins and crepes and cupcakes. Nick got his first CPA exam passed and out of the way, we got to see my family while they visited Mamaw, I kept up my adventure in gardening (aka strawberry plants), we reached the halfway point of pregnancy, and we had our ultrasound and got to find out that li'l Raspberry is a cute little girl. We skyped with my family to tell them as soon as we got back, and we told Nick's family the next day by bringing raspberry-filled cupcakes frosted in pink and blue, told them each to pick the color based on what they thought Raspberry was, and then bite in to reveal either red or blue on the inside. Yes, this was partly because we wanted to do something fun to tell them, but it was just as much because Raspberry has a sweet tooth and I was craving cupcakes.
