Camp Luther

When we knew that Pippa was due in August, we decided that a trip to camp was out for the year. After all, it would only be a month later, and an 8 hour drive would be a lot with a newborn and a toddler and a recovering mama. But when Pippa finally showed up and revealed herself to be an easy-going, sleep-loving baby, I was feeling surprisingly well, and Nick was still on paternity leave, we figured we were crazy enough to try. And by "we," I really mean Nick, my knight in shining armor, who knew I was sad to be missing camp again and pulled off a daring last minute rescue. So at just four weeks of age, Pippa made her first trip to camp. Needless to say, we had a grand old time and didn't regret it one bit. Gwen had the time of her life playing balls, sliding and swinging with Papa, going to the lake with Sam and Luther and "Jofef," and wandering all around camp. Pippa spent most of her time eating and sleeping, but seeing as those were her favorite activities anyway, she enjoyed her first camp as well.
