Pippa had a very special 3rd Birthday last month. She got to spend the day at Papa and Grandma's with her big sister and our two German sisters. She got to go to the park at Kamp Dels and ride the "bus," and then come home in time for a delicious meal of some of her favorite foods: pork, corn on the cob, and watermelon. We had a full dining table with guests from near and far, as Papa, Great-Papa, and Grandma came from the parsonage, Grammie and Grampie, Gerhardt and Nina arrived in time for supper from Indiana, and Rebecca and Ann-Kathrin came all the way from Germany. She got to have a special and very delectable Mary Poppins carousel ice cream cake, complete with colored shortbread horses and a parasol. And let's not forget the excitement of opening up presents, including her very first playmobil set, a tricycle, a soccer ball in her favorite color, a bird feeder, sidewalk chalk, and her own bag of cute individually wrapped squares of Ritter Sport chocolate.
What a wonderful three years it's been with this delightful, spunky, sweet and hilarious girl.
