From Above 2013

One of the best weeks of the year is always the week of the Higher Things conference.  5 days filled with wonderful Lutheran worship services, plenary sessions, breakaway sessions, miles and miles of walking, food, fellowship, and fun.  This year we went to the conference in Indiana.  It was hot, and we never got enough sleep, but that short little week was so amazing that none of that mattered.  We got to sing many amazing hymns (played by one of the best organists I have ever heard).  We learned some Greek in the plenary sessions each day, all based upon the theme 'From Above'. There was English Country Dancing one night, and a talent show the next.  We enjoyed the delicious meals they provided us (they had strawberries!  It made my week!) and we wrote notes to the kitchen staff to tell them how much we appreciated it.  And we got to do all of this with our amazing cousins and best friends.   Could you possibly pack more fun and awesomeness into four short days?  I think not.
