From the Top

We spent Thursday evening exploring a small part of the city. We decided that a trip to St. Louis wouldn't be complete without a trip to the top of the arch. What we didn't know, however, is that a trip to the arch would involve standing in line for an hour AFTER our tickets said (we thought 6:40 tickets meant that your ride up started at 6:40 but boy were we wrong. Apparently, that just meant you can start standing in line for your turn at 6:40). Despite the excruciatingly long wait, the view from the top was very neat. By the time we were back on solid ground, we were all tired and ready to go to bed. So the four plus hours we spent in St. Louis on Thursday were mostly consumed by standing in line. But the next day we managed to get a little more out of our time. More on that later though.
