Gehen

Almost every day this summer I've gone on a walk, either with Mom or with Abby or by myself. It's one of the best parts of the day, in which I can take a break from everything and just get out of the house and actively do something. My favorite path to walk is out to the lagoon and then past the lake, down gravel roads surrounded by the bright blues of the water and the luscious greens of the grass and trees. Some days, when the cotton trees are particularly productive, the air is filled with little white flakes that almost look like snow. Sometimes, if you go late enough in the evening, the sunlight dances all across the tops of the grass and turns the water a beautiful golden color. Occasionally we stop at the lake to skip rocks or just stare into the waters. And the best part is that it hasn't been too hot of a summer so far, so it's actually pleasant to be outside walking around. Hip hip hooray!
