Anglesey Abbey Gardens

Jonathan, Rachel, and the pram with Miranda inside

We went to Anglesey Abbey on Saturday and, because the Abbey itself was closed, we walked around their enormous gardens and went into the Lode Mill, which is still in use today.

All I can say is- the English have good reason to be proud of their gardens. I have never seen such well-tended gardens. So many different plants and trees arranged in sections so you're always seeing something new but everything flows. It's just amazing.

Saturday was freezing though, and after about 2 hours we were all so cold that decided to drive back to Cambridge. We had a wonderful evening in front of the fireplace, drinking tea, and reading.

All in all, Saturday was a lovely day. :)
