A Nerdy Girl's Grad Party

Some of the buntings and paper chains we made

Dessert!

My amazing card box.

We took illustrations from Narnia and Harry Potter and put them on candles for the tables.

We bough a bouquet of flowers and spread them out among the tables, and put three candles by each.

What's a party without nerdy references everywhere you turn? I think I covered every last one of my favorite randoms. There's the No Admittance sign, the food labels, and the lemon cupcakes for Lord of the Rings. There's the TARDIS card box and raspberry cupcakes for Doctor Who. There's the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes for Sherlock. Harry Potter made up the buntings, paper chains, and most of the candles. A few candles had Narnia illustrations on them. Then of course there's the background music (which was there even if you couldn't hear it) which was a mix of all my favorite soundtracks. Honestly the decorating and preparing and planning was half the fun for me.

The party went very well, we had many many people there, including more surprise visits from friends. I'm getting quite spoiled by all of this attention. We had a metric ton of fruit (I may be exaggerating a bit) and even more pizza and chicken, and while some of it was left over, most is gone by now. Food and fandoms and friends and family, what more can you ask for from a party?
